Rev. Jonathan D. Mattull, Pastor
Rev. Mattull is a native of St. Louis, and a graduate of Missouri Baptist University and Covenant Theological Seminary. He is the Headmaster of Providence Christian Academy, and is married with three children.
Church Session
Sovereign Grace Presbyterian Church is under the oversight of a Session consisting of Rev. Jonathan Mattull, Moderator, and Elder Randall Taylor; with Mr. John King, Assessor Elder. The members of the Session also compose the Deacons’ Court.
Mr. Randall Taylor is Clerk of Session, Clerk of the Deacons’ Court, and serves as the congregational Treasurer.
The Presbytery organized a Preaching Station in St. Louis in 2008, with Mr. Jonathan Mattull conducting the worship services. In August of 2012, Mr. Mattull was ordained and inducted as Church Planter and Evangelist serving the St. Louis congregation. In May of 2014, the General Assembly of the Free Church of Scotland (Continuing) elevated the St. Louis congregation to a fully sanctioned charge; and in July of 2014, Rev. Mattull was called and inducted as minister of the St. Louis Congregation.
The Lord’s Supper is administered on the second Lord’s Day of January, April, July, and October.
