Rev. Robert D. McCurley, Pastor

Reverend McCurley was educated at Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary, and was ordained to the ministry in 1998. He has been the pastor of Greenville Presbyterian Church for more than 12 years. He has also pastored churches in Virginia and Ontario. He is an editor of The Master’s Trumpet. Reverend McCurley is married and has five children.

Church Session

Greenville Presbyterian Church is under the oversight of a Session consisting of Rev. Robert McCurley, Moderator; Elder Chris Reeder; Elder James Wanliss; Elder John King; and Elder Ike Vernon. The members of the Session also compose the Deacons’ Court, together with Deacon Jim Moline, Deacon David Gillespie, and Deacon Joseph Hoffmeister.

Mr. Chris Reeder is Clerk of Session, Clerk of the Deacons’ Court, and the congregational Treasurer.

The Presbytery organized a Preaching Station at Greenville in 2006. Rev. Robert McCurley was appointed residential supply for the pulpit. When the mission was organized as a Congregation in 2007, Rev. McCurley was elected the minister. The Congregation is known locally as Greenville Presbyterian Church.

The Lord’s Supper is administered in the morning worship service on the third Lord’s Day of April and October. There are communion preparatory services on Wednesday – Saturday evenings the week before the administration of the Supper and a thanksgiving service on Monday following the Supper.

  • Morning Worship: 11:00 a.m.
  • Shared Meal: 12:30 p.m.
  • Afternoon Worship: 2:00 p.m.
  • Catechism Class: 3:30 p.m.

Childrens and youth classes are held during the lunch hour.

Wednesday:

  • Prayer Meeting: 7:00 p.m.
