Rev. “Rom” Prakashpalan, Pulpit Supply

Rev. Rom Prakashpalan is married to Maegan and they have four children. Rom was raised as a Hindu and became an atheist early in life. The Lord called him to faith through hearing the gospel in 2009 (Romans 10:17). Soon after, he felt a call to gospel ministry. He graduated from the Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary (RPTS) in 2020 with an MDiv. In March 2015, he was ordained and installed as a ruling elder at Dallas Reformed Presbyterian Church, at the time a congregation of the RPCNA, and then a teaching elder in July 2020. In May 2024, he moved with his family to Fredericksburg to become the full-time pulpit supply for Zion Presbyterian Church. In the same month, at the meeting of General Assembly, Pastor Rom’s application to transfer to the FCC was accepted. By God’s grace, at the same meeting of General Assembly, Pastor Rom’s previous congregation, Dallas RPC, was also accepted into the FCC as a fully sanctioned congregation.

Church Session

Zion Presbyterian Church is under the oversight of a Session consisting of Rev. Gavin Beers, Interim Moderator, and Elder Ike Vernon, Session Clerk. The members of the Session also compose the Deacons’ Court.

Zion Presbyterian Church was organized as a Preaching Station of US Presbytery of the Free Church of Scotland (Continuing) in 2023. The Presbytery appointed a rotation of ministers and students to provide regular pulpit supply until May 2024, when Pastor Rom became full-time pulpit supply. Also in May 2024, at the meeting of General Assembly, the congregation was officially raised to a fully sanctioned charge.
