In 2010 we are privileged to have as our guest speaker Rev. Maurice Roberts, minister of our church's congregation in Inverness, Scotland, and Lecturer in Greek and New Testament at the Free Church Seminary, Inverness, Scotland. Rev. Roberts was born at Chester, England, in 1938. He was educated at the University of Durham. After teaching Latin and Greek at secondary schools in Scotland, he studied theology at the Free Church of Scotland College, Edinburgh, and at the University of London. He was the minister of Ayr Free Church of Scotland from 1974 to 1994, and since then has been minister of his congregation in Inverness. He was editor of the Banner of Truth magazine from 1988 to 2003, and is the author of The Thought of God, The Christian's High Calling, Great God of Wonders, Sanctification and Glorification, Can We Know God? and Union and Communion with Christ. He is married, and has one daughter and two grandchildren.
