Rev. Gardner was born in 1946, and educated at Geneva College, Westminster Theological Seminary, Pittsburgh Theological Seminary and Columbia Theological Seminary. He was ordained to the ministry in 1972, and has served Presbyterian churches in North Georgia for thirty years. Rev. Gardner is married and has five children.

Elder Charles Greenewald is a direct marketing specialist. He is married and has three children.

The Atlanta Congregation is also served by two elders appointed by Presbytery to augment the Session: Rev. Robert D. McCurley, minister of the Greenville, South Carolina, Congregation, and Mr. Philip Larson, ruling elder in the Greenville Congregation.

The members of the Session also compose the Deacons' Court.

Mr. Greenewald is Clerk of Session and Clerk of the Deacons' Court, and the congregational Treasurer.
